As part of project Mission Shikshan: Let’s Unite To Educate The Less Fortunate, Shelter Don Bosco is organizing a concert called A PRIVILEGE... to light the lamp of learning. The show is on Sunday, March 29 at Shanmukhananda Auditorium.
Basically, what we plan to achieve with this event is to create an awareness about this institution, which has been picking up boys from the street, some in a half-drugged state, and giving them a reason to live. Empowering them with education and arming them with the confidence to live life with dignity.
We plan to raise funds through ticket sales, banners and souvenirs besides donations, which will come along.
More importantly, all the artistes who are performing at this event are doing it free... All our performers have held audiences in trance at international events. We also have an Oscar affiliation to our event with Longinus, who choreographed the Oscar winning song Jai Ho for Slumdog Millionaire.

on the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady and the Country's Independence day on
August 15, 2008 with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Shelter Don Bosco.
The aim is to raise Rs 1 crore for the various projects undertaken by the Priests and staff of Shelter Don Bosco in their various Shelters across India.
Plans are also afoot to rope in a Goodwill Ambassador who will help us in our endeavour to attain this target or more.
Mr Martin D'Souza has been kind enough to initiate this project.
